Safety Rodney Harrison, who won two Super Bowl rings with the Patriots, announced his retirement today. "I've done everything I could possibly do on the field," he said. "I feel like I have nothing else to prove."

While Tom Brady spoke of how he now realizes that football can be taken from a player so quickly, Vince Wilfork appeared to be a no-show in what could be a budding contract dispute. The contrast was impossible not to notice.
"I feel as good as I could possibly feel," Brady said. "I don't think about [the knee]. It doesn't bother me doing anything, so it's feeling really good. That's about as good as I can say. I'm real happy with where I'm at and coming out in these workouts. I'm happy to participate in them. That was something that was a big goal for me to be able to do."
